God is up to something.
Be a part of what He’s up to.
Starting January 11th, Prairie Alliance Church, Redwood Park Church, and Timbers Church prayed together for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Thank you for praying with us!
The stories in the Bible establish two truths:
- God is always up to something.
- People have the choice to either be a part of what God is doing, or not.
In 2020, God has been up to something new at Redwood Park Church, Prairie Alliance Church, and Timbers Church. He has been opening doors, stirring hearts, and laying the foundation for a movement of God in NW Ontario and Manitoba as He connects these three churches with similar dreams and DNA. Some of you have been on the front lines of these developments and others have only heard the names of the other churches in passing. Let’s change that! This prayer guide is an invitation for all to join in on the dreaming and discerning.

When praying about communities to plant in I saw a picture of lighthouses on the map - PAC, Timbers and Redwood. I saw the light coming from the lighthouses and combining to form a new lighthouse where the light met. I hear God say, "to let the light invade the spiritually dark places" and my eyes are draw to the north on the map - the darkest part of the map to my eyes. Thompson.
As I prayed for a word for one of the congregations I saw myself standing on a rocky cliff with Jesus, overlooking Thunder Bay. He was weeping for the city, the people. Tears of love and compassion. He says, "Roots grow deeper and the branches grow wider. My Kingdom is being established here on these shores". I see a tear fall from him and into the middle of the city. The tear creates a shockwave that goes through the city and carries on for miles around. No desctruction, but a disruption occurs. People stop their lives to look, to figure out where the wave came from. Redwood is at the centre. Redwood is granted instant favour with the people - instant awareness of their presence and acknowledgement of the gospel of peace they carry. Redwood you are a birthplace. A birthplace of hope, of reconciliation, restoration and redemption.
At the very end of the prayer guide, for the final listen I distinctly heard the song "ooh child" by the Five Stairsteps. "ooh child. Things are goin get easier. ooh child. things are goin get brighter." - For the lost children of God. The children who live in darkness caused by hopelessness - we must go. Our call is to make the world brighter. Brighter with hope and freedom - that all come from Jesus.
